Educational Support to Children with Special Needs in T5

This Project seeks to ensure early screening to children with learning difficulties (LD) and Attention Deficit & Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in public schools in North Lebanon regions among the refugee and host communities.
 The project will also seek to improve the learning capacity and behavior of identified children, with the aim of facilitating their integration into the regular school system; through the provision of special education support and comprehensive specialized services and Awareness sessions to parents on the management of children with LD and ADHD. Restart will be implementing this project jointly in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and FISTA North Lebanon, whose specialists will be conducting group and individual sessions with children in need.

Activities

1) Awareness raising for parents
2) Early Screenings to children (conducted by recruited Special Educators), and
3) specialized assistance to children (conducted by Restart Center multidisciplinary teams)
